At Railcoin we have taken a leaf out of the great engineers handbook. They came across issues and problems that needed solutions for how to move something from A to B.  They designed and built the tools and equipment that would move goods and passengers quickly across difficult terrain to their destination.  In ‘The Model-Railway Men’ book written by my father, a family of miniature people named after the famous engineers had to deal with their own issues including their small size to survive. We full size people are still relatively small parts in a big machine that  uses big fiat currencies like USD, GBP, AUD or NZD .

Railcoin is a ‘green’ financial system designed to allow the railway community big or small to raise funds via a proof of work (mining) system which will enable Railcoin users to make quick, private payments online using our secure open-source platform hosted by thousands of users around the world.  They can mine Railcoin and use it for tipping, spending where accepted or they could donate some or all to worthy causes such as heritage railways or model railway clubs. Spread the word to ensure more people and organisations get on board the train. Railways are always evolving like cryptocurrency and require lots of work. The proof of this work is what you see when you look at  a railway or railroad in America!

Can you see how this website and coin could be improved? Get on board the train and improve it. We need C++ and R developers to get involved as well as web designers, forum moderators and donators of time on a voluntary basis to take their seats on an experimental train that hopes to emulate the success of the ‘Intercity 125’ and ‘The Mallard’. Diesel and steam design icons and world record holders in their class’s. They were built in the UK based on teamwork, testing and innovation. Railcoin  is a UK based coin that also has a strong  American influence from our chief engineer. Seattle based Thomas Groh who is also working on an affiliated coin called Schoolcoin designed to benefit and appeal to educational establishments and students. We need developers from around the globe to get on board to take Railcoin to the next station.

The American influence appears in several of the books in the series mentioned above. The books were written a while back and the second in the series is called ‘Telford and the American Visitor’. In which Mark is visited by an American rail fan who brings with him a large American loco and a video camera. The Model-Railway Men accidentally film themselves when they they dont want to be discovered. Then the fun begins! Here at Railcoin we believe cryptocurrency  should be fun as well as having a more serious side.
